Just Flight has shared a new sound overview video on their YouTube channel, showing the community the sounds of their upcoming RJ Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator. In the lengthy video, the team showed us most of the aircraft’s sounds.
In the description, the developer mentions that the aircraft includes hundreds of individual recordings that were created by recording the real aircraft in action. It has been mentioned on the Just Flight website that the sound set is fully completed and integrated into the product.
The 22-minute long video shows the RJ Professional in most stages of a standard flight with the Avro RJ. It starts by showing us the exterior environment sounds and progresses into the cabin. In the cockpit, the developer previewed the ambient sounds and individual cockpit controls, buttons, knobs and levers.
During the startup of the aircraft, we can hear batteries turned on, as well as the avionics, fire tests and the GPU start and shutdown from the exterior. The same applies to the APU. Then the developer proceeds to show the generators and air conditioning running. These two things are shown in both the cockpit and passenger cabin, and we can notice the significant difference in noise levels and how the sound behaves in the two mentioned parts of the aircraft.
The flight control surfaces also have their individual sounds recorded, this includes flaps, thrust reversers and other hydraulic-powered controls on the aircraft. Just like the Fokker F28 by Just Flight, this plane also includes a music player in the cabin.
We can hear how the sound behaves during taxi, take-off and climb. This includes the engines starting up, the cabin announcements and the take-off roll.
Lastly, Just Flight also mentioned that the RJ Professional is currently under substantial progress in development. Currently, the team is hard at work with removing bugs and other finalising steps ahead of the release.
With that said, the release date is not yet known and Just Flight might keep it a secret for a little longer. If you would like to read more about Just Flight’s RJ Professional, read our article about the numerous previews shared at FSExpo 2024 here.
