Just Flight has revealed the complete changelog for the 146 Professional v2.4 update for Microsoft Flight Simulator in a recent Reddit post, confirming the release is scheduled for next week. According to the information shared by the developer, this version rebuilds the aircraft as a native MSFS 2024 package while still supporting MSFS 2020. Update 2.4 introduces hundreds of individual changes across systems, visuals and usability, making it the most substantial overhaul the 146 has received so far.

MSFS 2024-Native Rebuild And Performance Work
At the core of v2.4 is a full conversion of the 146 to an MSFS 2024-native package, aligning the regional jet with Asobo’s latest simulator while maintaining compatibility with MSFS 2020. Alongside this, Just Flight has added extra model LODs intended to improve performance and satisfy MSFS 2024’s stricter asset requirements. The update also introduces Preflight Walkaround support in MSFS 2024, allowing simmers to interact with chocks, GPU, passenger and service doors, including airstairs, cargo doors and entry/exit points within the new preflight environment.
New EFB Tablet, SimBrief Import And Navigraph Charts
The cockpit receives a new EFB tablet with a redesigned interface, SimBrief OFP import directly into the UNS‑1 FMS and Navigraph en‑route chart support. Payload syncing has been improved, and configuration options have been reorganised for quicker everyday use.

The EFB also adds quality-of-life options such as “AUTO CABIN MUSIC” control, a “KNOB ACCEL” toggle for faster or finer adjustments of key rotary controls, and revised pushback and ground-services handling. New buttons and indicators manage multiple external power and air conditioning sources, including a Ground Air function to simulate an external air supply on stand.
Cabin, Lighting And Systems Enhancements
Passenger variants gain refreshed cabins and additional camera views. Lighting has been upgraded with new volumetric effects and improved navigation‑light logic, while callouts and cabin‑crew logic have been refined. Core systems also see major updates, including more accurate electrical‑bus behaviour, revised hydraulic pressure dynamics and an air‑conditioning system that now reacts properly to sunlight, open doors and external ground‑air sources.

Flight Model, Controls And Documentation
The flight model has been updated to FCOM “absolute” weight standards with corrected passenger-capacity limits. Pitch stability has been adjusted, and spoiler, airbrake and flap-related logic improved, including configuration warnings and flap-fault tests. Navigation instruments such as the ADI, HSI and RMI now exhibit signal-strength-based drift. Additional support is included for brake-axis and centre-rudder hardware assignments.

Interactive checklists and charts now support up to fifteen and twenty entries, respectively. The UNS-1 FMS default navigation database is updated to AIRAC 2401, SimBrief profiles have been refreshed, and manuals for the aircraft, EFB and UNS-1 have been revised. To comply with MSFS 2024 SDK requirements, the navdata folder has been moved outside the main package.
Release Timing And Pricing
Just Flight states that 146 Professional v2.4 will be released next week for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, completing the studio’s lineup of in-house aircraft updated for the new simulator. The upgrade is free for existing owners. At the time of writing, the aircraft is discounted by 30% as part of the Black Friday sale, and the bundle including RJ Professional is reduced by 25%.
