Leading Edge Simulations, also known as LES, have today posted a new development update regarding their currently developed Douglas DC-3 for X-Plane 11. The aircraft development was originally announced back in early May which we’ve covered in one of our previous posts.

At the post start, it was made clear, that the devleopers are truly aiming for the best systems’ simulation and flight dynamics as well as good look. Airfighter, the post author, wrote:

In my personal opinion, the visual quality is “top-notch”, and I must admit that there are times that I feel… mesmerized the way everything looks!

It was also mentioned, that even though the aircraft will be very detailed, it will feature a great optimization and there should be no issues with running the aircraft even when using slower machines.

This is not magic, just hard work and experience built through the years, developing aircrafts for X-Plane.

In conclusion, we are packing as much as detail as possible, without performance penalties. It will be a nice place to be and fly, projecting the character of the aircraft, and doing justice to the one that change the airline industry as no one else!
