miniCOCKPIT, a company renowned for its high-quality Airbus flight deck panels, announces the miniOVHD, a condensed version of the Airbus overhead panel. With this release, miniCOCKPIT has focused on adding another product to their line of Airbus products in the form of a mini overhead panel.

miniOVHD Announcement

On July 30, miniCOCKPIT announced on their Facebook group to announce the miniOVHD, slated for release in September 2025. The miniOVHD is a condensed version of the overhead panel of an Airbus. With this being a condensed version of the real overhead, the team has carefully curated which buttons and switches to include in this rendition of the overhead so that it provides as much functionality as they possibly can in such a small product. The product was originally teased in March 2024, with only the silhouette of the side being shown. Now, miniCOCKPIT has released more information about their upcoming product.

miniOVHD Features

In order to maintain the accuracy of the real Airbus switches, miniCOCKPIT crafted their switches using injection molding. Their push buttons, on the other hand, are custom-designed with the ability to travel 2mm, as well as providing dual color LED lighting for the annunciator lights.

With the product being a condensed version of the real Airbus overhead panel, only essential push button switches have been included. Fortunately, miniCOCKPIT has included the ability to reassign the push buttons to different functions to the switches according to the user’s preference. This only allows the function to change, but whatever decal is printed below the button or the switch will remain unchanged from the original.

With this being the third product in miniCOCKPIT’s line of Airbus products, they have announced that a free mounting frame will be included, giving users who also own the miniFCU the option to mount the miniOVHD beside said product if they wish. The miniOVHD is scheduled for release in September 2025 and is priced at $189.
