MK Studios heads to the Faroe Islands with their previously announced Vagar (EKVG) airport, coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Vagar Airport is the gateway to the Faroe Islands. The airport began as an airfield during World War II. After the war, it opened for commercial flights in 1963. Since then, it has become a link between the Faroe Islands and Europe. Its location in the North Atlantic, unstable weather, and mountainous terrain make flying particularly difficult. It is a hub airport for the Faroese airline Atlantic Airways, and sees flights operated by Icelandair and Wideroe.

The add-on features an up-to-date layout, including detailed terminal interiors and exteriors, custom ground textures with PBR materials, accurately positioned ground markings, signage, and aircraft stands. It also includes realistic nighttime lighting and detailed taxiway and approach lights. The scenery includes performance optimizations and is designed to integrate with the existing MSFS terrain.

The scenery is available for purchase on the Contrail Store, the iniBuilds Store, simMarket, and the Orbx Direct Store for approximately €14.99. If you are interested in more scenery add-ons created by this developer, check out their newly released version of Tenerife-South Airport.
