Orbx Announces Adelaide Landmarks for MSFS

Orbx, a well-known flight simulation scenery developer based in Australia, has recently announced, through their forums, the development of Adelaide Landmarks, or Adelaide City Pack, for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Adelaide is known for its picturesque coastline, diverse architecture, murals and rich natural surroundings, and the Orbx City Pack brings this character filled city to life for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Orbx – Announement post

The developer is looking into including over 90 landmark buildings and structures to be placed in the scenery around the city of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia state and fifth-most populous city in the country.

In addition to the landmarks, enhancements to the city are being done. These include, for example, improved vegetation and building placements, extensive terraforming, custom orthoimagery covering about 100 square kilometres, and custom night lighting based on real-world photography.

Once released, Adelaide Landmarks will be the third product enhancing the default cityscapes in Australia. The first two are covering the cities of Brisbane and Sydney.

While no information was shared on the expected pricing model, the release is scheduled for early next week – 22.3. – 28.3.2021.
