Orbx announced the release of Brisbane Airport (YBBN) for X-Plane on their Facebook page. This is the first payware rendition of the Australian airport on X-Plane. In their post, the developer stated that Brisbane is their most detailed scenery released for X-Plane 11.
Firstly, the rendition replicates a realistic airport layout. This includes taxiways and custom buildings. Moreover, it includes runway 01L/19R, a new runway that opened in July 2020.
Secondly, the rendition features custom made night lighting. This will allow nocturnal flyers to enjoy evening operations in and out the airport.
Additionally, the scenery features many hand made objects. This includes the terminals and the control tower. The terminals feature SAM v3 jetways, allowing for accurate jetway animations.
Finally, the scenery is available for purchase on Orbx Direct at a price of โฌ19,01. If you want to read about another recent ORBX release, have a read at Patrik’s article on Phuket.
As with all ORBX products, you will need Orbx Central to install the scenery.
