Orbx has released Jurassic World: Archipelago for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The pack brings the entire Muertes archipelago and two locations in Costa Rica to MSFS. In partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, the developer has brought the experience to life, with the scenery set just before the events of the 2015 film Jurassic World.
About Jurassic World: Archipelago
As previously covered in our article on the product announcement, the scenery features highly detailed recreations of Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, Isla Matanceros, Isla Muerta, Isla Peña, and Isla Tacaño. These are accompanied by the real-world locations of Herradura Bay Marina and Juan Santamaría International Airport (MROC), allowing sim pilots to fly to and from the mainland.

To enhance immersion, Orbx has developed key features including animated dinosaurs, flying reptiles, theme park structures, and aviation challenges. The islands also host custom airfields and helipads, alongside unique animations and visual effects. On Isla Sorna, the scenery depicts the ruins of the original “Site B” dinosaur creation facilities, adding further detail for those familiar with the franchise.
What Orbx Offers
There is a range of bundles available to choose from. Starting at $24.99 (USD), the ‘JW Archipelago’ bundle includes the entire scenery and missions, along with Jurassic World liveries for the Airbus H125, King Air 350i, and CubCrafters XCub. The next package includes 6 months of Volanta Premium for a bundled price of $39.99, allowing pilots to track their flights, join community events, and share adventures.

Alternatively, at the same price point, users can swap the Volanta offering for the PAC P-750 aircraft, which comes with Jurassic World-inspired liveries. We previously covered the release of Orbx’s rendition of the STOL aircraft here. The utility plane operates in the harshest environments, requiring less than 800ft of runway for both takeoff and landing. Its virtual rendition includes skydiving, agricultural, cargo, and passenger variants.
For those seeking the complete experience, ‘The Ultimate JW Archipelago Pack’ bundles all features for $49.99. This includes scenery, missions, liveries, the PAC P-750 aircraft, and 6 months of Volanta Premium. Orbx states that this pack offers a 30% discount compared to buying the products separately.

While the product is currently exclusive to MSFS 2024, there are plans to release optimised versions for MSFS 2020 and X-Plane. It is also set to arrive on Xbox following a successful Marketplace release. Jurassic World: Archipelago is now available to purchase from OrbxDirect, starting at $24.99 (USD).
