The developer Orbx has released a new scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Mount Isa Airport (YBMA), developed by an indie developer Bob Byrne.

This airport is located in the Northwestern Queensland, connecting Mount Isa with the rest of the country. This includes major destinations like Brisbane, Toowoomba or Townsville. Mount Isa Airport is equipped with a single runway, measuring 2560 metres. In relations to passenger revenue, the airport is ranked the 30th in Australia.

Bob Dyrne’s rendition features a custom 15cm per pixel aerial imagery for a sharp and detailed experience. There is a detailed terminal and custom ground services, with apron being optimised for MSFS 2024’s walkaraund mode. He also developed custom runway and taxiway lighting, custom windsocks and other minor, but important details to make the scenery feel more life-like.
The scenery can now be bought through the Orbx website and the Orbx Central app for approximately €15.51. You can also read more about Orbx here.
