Palm Beach Airport by BMWorld & AmSim Released for MSFS

Developer BMWorld collaborated once again with AmSim to bring a new scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, they bring us back to Florida for the rendition of Palm Beach Airport (KPBI). BMWorld and AmSim have previously worked on multiple airports across the United States and Canada. This is their third release for the state of Florida alongside Miami Airport (KMIA) and Daytona Beach Airport (KDAB).

About this Airport

Palm Beach Airport is the main airport for Palm Beach County and the third busiest in the Miami metropolitan area. The biggest city the airport serves is West Palm Beach, located east of the airport. It is a public airport with regular scheduled commercial flights and general aviation traffic. The airport hosts multiple fixed-base operators (FBO) and hangars, including one hangar for an air ambulance from the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The airport was originally named Morrison Field and began its operations in 1936 with an Eastern Air Lines DC-2 flight that was headed to New York. During World War II, the airport was utilized for training and as a staging base for aircraft by the U.S. Army Air Forces. In 1951, it was renamed Palm Beach Air Force Base and was used by the Air Force until 1962. Following this, it was renamed Palm Beach Airport and started hosting multiple airlines including Delta, Capital Airlines, and Eastern.
