Parallel 42 Announces the Super Patriot Mark II for MSFS

Parallel 42 have announced the Super Patriot Mark II as their next aircraft to come to MSFS. P42 are known for their products across various categories, from scenery and utilities to vehicles. The Super Patriot Mark II will be their next aircraft to join the simulator in the future.

Super Patriot Mark II

Built by the team at Patriot Aircraft USA, the Super Patriot Mark II is perfect for backcountry trips. It has 197HP with a takeoff distance of just 65ft and a landing distance of 125ft. The aircraft can hold up to 44 gallons of fuel with a max takeoff weight of 1,900lbs.

It has a 36ft wingspan, full-length ailerons and flaps which allows for better STOL performance and controllability at slow speeds. Its stall speed is 35mph, while the aircraft is able to cruise at 125mph. The frame is coated in epoxy, which increases its lifespan and makes inspections easier.

Parallel 42s Super Patriot Mark II

The idea of making the Super Patriot Mark II sparked from the time when P42 made the Iconic Freedom Fox. This aircraft became highly rate in the simulator and since that release many people have been asking for another like it. In 2023 the team at P42 were invited to Arkanstol. Here they met the team behind Patriot Aircraft USA.

Trevor “Dozen” Aldridge, one of the people behind Patriot Aircraft USA, expressed his love for the FreedomFox. This aircraft was the closest in performance to the Super Patriot Mark II, and so the P42 team became interested in the aircraft. Since this, P42 have released a short video of them recording sounds for the Super Patriot Mark II.

However, Parallel 42 did not give a release date and just stated it would come to the simulator one day. Several other products will be released between now and the release of the Super Patriot Mark II, according to P42. The team may drop a few hints of progress over time, but for now it’s radio silence from them. They left us with a video from Trevor “Dozen” talking about the aircraft in detail.
