Developer Parallel42 has released a new add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This development team is known for releasing multiple utility and scenery add-ons to enhance your wilderness adventures in MSFS, like Campout or Circle B Ranch. This time, they introduce an add-on that allows you to engage in fishing activities within the simulator. GoFish introduces over 200 species of fish to the simulator, with accurate real-world data and multiple features to explore.

What is GoFish?

GoFish is an add-on built around your MSFS 2024 avatar that lets you fish in water areas across the globe inside the simulator. It is data-driven, meaning it will use a real-world database to accurately display fish species during your activities. The fish you encounter depends on your location, time, and environment.

You can start using this add-on by approaching a water body and interacting with the integrated EFB to start fishing. The EFB will display all the information about this add-on. It allows you to change your fishing gear, change the settings, and view information on your latest catches.

This add-on comes equipped with custom physics and controls for the fishing mechanics. It also adds options to “auto-reel” your catch and an assistant that notifies you about what fish are available in the area. You can also access a list of all the different fish you encountered in your journeys.

GoFish is now available for MSFS 2024 with Sim Update 4 Beta installed. It is currently only available for Club 42 members, with a general public release soon to follow, according to the developer. This add-on is available in the developer’s webstore for $20 USD. You can also learn more about this developer by reading our previous article here.
