PMDG 777 Officially Showcased in First Preview Post

As Robert Randazzo mentioned in the previous developer update, he would “welcome us with a glass of egg nog”, hinting at revealing some interesting things to the community on Christmas day. The team kept up with the promises and today they showcased the first official previews of the PMDG 777 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Shared on the PMDG forums earlier today, these images show not only minor details like the cabin interior and the main landing gear as previously but also the fuselage, wings, APU and the tail of the aircraft in the default PMDG livery.

Robert mentions that he feels that art designers Jason and Vin have outdone themselves with the visual aspects of the 777. Whilst the current previews are only showing the exterior, we will get the interior, and especially cockpit previews soon.

He also points our attention to the colour distortion on the cockpit glass and other subtle details that improve the general visual experience of this plane.

Speaking of the testing phase of the 777, the team is seeing performance very close to the 737 product line. This means that if your system can run the 737, it will easily run the 777 as well without any performance degradation. As the flight testing continues, the beta team reported back with nearly 200 fault reports over the first phase of testing. Robert lastly mentions that he is very happy with how the 777 progresses.
