PMDG has released a new development update via their official forums. Robert Randazzo was once again responsible for showcasing everything that the development team has been working on during the time between development updates.

Last time, PMDG released news about their 777 and 737 add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 earlier this month. This new round of information covers additional add-ons news, even showcasing an image of the 747 for MSFS that is currently in development.

The update starts with a recap of which build of the 777 is available, depending on where you purchase it. Marketplace users have access to build 121 in MSFS 2020. For MSFS 2024 users, it is held at this time due to some texture problems in the simulator with this add-on. Customers who bought this add-on directly from PMDG should be on build 130, with a new build coming next week and soon to the MSFS Marketplace.

Another topic covered is the PMDG 777-200LR, which is currently unavailable in the MSFS Marketplace. This is due to a build error related to the Marketplace, which will be resolved soon, and this add-on will be back in the storefront.

Robert then transitions to the new sound update coming to the 777 family, which is now in its final testing phase. This sound update will bring a brand new sound pack, built from the ground up, to these add-ons. It will upgrade the sound environment of the aircraft using real sounds from the aircraft and a lot of processing work. It will initially be released for the 777-300ER, 777F, and 777-200LR in a few weeks, according to this post. Another sound update, currently in development, is planned for the 737 add-on line.

PMDG 737

The next add-on discussed in this update is the 737 for MSFS 2024. Robert has confirmed that a new build has been given to beta testers of this add-on. The 737 for MSFS 2024 is getting closer as the development has concluded, and the team at PMDG is polishing up stuff for the release. A specific date was not given for the release since there is still work to do, according to this post.

The final add-on talked about in this development update is the 747. This add-on is still in early development, with a few screenshots shared in a past development update. The development team has shared a new screenshot from the work done on the main landing gear of the 747-100. This model, shown in the image, is still a work-in-progress; we expect to see more news of this add-on’s development in the future.

Closing Notes

This is the end of this development update on some of the upcoming add-ons and updates from PMDG. You can read the full post by Robert on the PMDG forums. Expect further development of all the topics here at FSNews.
