The developer Pyreegue has recently taken to their Facebook page to show two initial previews of their upcoming scenery of Palma de Mallorca Airport (LEPA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. These two previews show only the control tower building outside of the simulator.
About Palma de Mallorca Airport (LEPA)
Palma de Mallorca Airport is the largest international airport within the Balearic Islands, and as the name suggests, serves the city of Palma, located on the largest island, Mallorca. The airport began developing in the 1920s, and it was once a seaplane hub used for airmail. In 1934, the idea of flying tourists to the island came to reality, and a flight school was established, and the airport got its status of an international airport in the 1950s.

Nowadays, the airport handles approximately 30 million passengers every year, is operated by two parallel runways and serves as a hub for easyJet and Eurowings. Palma de Mallorca Airport is mostly operated by European carriers, with flights to major European destinations using scheduled and seasonal flights. In June next year, the airport is going to get a connection to the Middle East with Etihad, flying directly to Abu Dhabi.
About Pyreegue’s Previews
The two screenshots show the airport control tower building in a non-simulated environment, with a blank background. Pyreegue is known for their detailed sceneries, with loads of animations and little perks, that make their airports indistinguishable from reality.

We can already see the meticulous detail in these two previews; the 3D model seems to be detailed, with proper dimensions. Moreover, the model has already received texturing in this round of previews, and the textures are just as impressive, with lots of detail, wear on the concrete, and there seem to be PBR textures as well, which we can notice on the metal chimney in one of the images.
The community is happy about these previews, as a new version of Palma de Mallorca Airport was highly anticipated, as the previous versions from other developers are getting outdated. Some people are even asking for a scenery of Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG), which is not recreated in Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day.
