Pyreegue Releases East Midlands Airport for MSFS

Ukrainian developer Pyreegue has recently taken to their Facebook page to announce the release of their East Midlands scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

About East Midlands Airport

East Midlands Airport (EGNX/EMA) is an international airport located in the United Kingdom, in the vicinity of Nottingham and Leicester. The airport was initially built as a Royal Air Force airfield back in 1943 and was redeveloped as a civilian airport in 1965.

It is a hub for various low-cost airlines such as Jet2 and Ryanair. TUI also operates some of its scheduled and charter flights from here. It is the eleventh-busiest international airport in the United Kingdom and it is also an important cargo hub for the whole of Europe, as DHL and UPS operate many of their long-distance routes from this airport.

What does Pyreegue’s rendition offer?

The scenery was developed using LiDAR scanned data of terrain elevation model, making the scenery’s terrain as accurate to real-life as possible, this includes the runway, taxiways and vicinity of the airport. This leads us to the airport layout, which is the latest as of 2023. There is also the latest satellite imagery covering the airport and surrounding areas, including Donington Park.

Furthermore, there are custom ground polygons with thousands of markings and accurate weathering. In addition, there are ATC and OPS Tower 3D interior, static aircraft and dynamic gate doors, which is going to make many GSX users happy.
