A brand new add-on developer has emerged in the Microsoft Flight Simulator add-on development scene. Rhodiumcode has announced its first project as an add-on development team. Their upcoming add-on is a fairly well-known aircraft within the MSFS community. Rhodiumcode is currently developing a new A350-900 add-on aircraft. Most of the details regarding this add-on have been revealed by the developer via their Discord server. Recently, the developer shared the first cinematic trailer of this project.
Who is Rhodiumcode?
Based in California, Rhodiumcode is the newest development team entering the MSFS developer market. They describe themself as a small game studio formed by people from different backgrounds but with the same love for aviation. Their mission is to deliver a sophisticated and immersive aircraft for MSFS with their first-ever project: the A350.
Michael, the president and lead developer of Rhodiumcode, took to Discord to share some details and the status of this project. The A350 by Rhodiumcode has been in development for three years, building all the systems of this aircraft from the ground up. The team wants to make this add-on feel like you are flying the real A350 within MSFS. Some of the features of this project, like systems, flight models, texturing, and modeling where revealed. Some other systems, like aircraft sounds, are still a work in progress.

The developer also revealed some aspects of this add-on. The A350 is currently planned to be released for MSFS 2020 and 2024. It is a payware aircraft, and only the A350-900 variant is planned for this add-on. More details, like extra features and a release timeline, were not shared at this time.
With the release of their first development update, Rhodiumcode released a cinematic trailer showcasing their progress with this add-on. The trailer shows the A350 departing Taipei Airport, starting from cold and dark until take-off. Aircraft systems and modeling were the primary showcase of this trailer, with some external and internal shots of the aircraft. The trailer also includes some 3rd party add-ons not part of this add-on aircraft.
The A350 by Rhodiumcode will continue its development for the time being. The developer will share more information about the A350 at a later time. If you want to know more about this developer and this project, head to their main webpage. Stay tuned for more news from this developer here.
