SimNord Releases New Aarhus Airport for MSFS

The developer SimNord, previously known as Vidan Design has shared the information that their newest scenery of Aarhus Airport (EKAH) for Microsoft Flight Simulator was just released.

Aarhus International Airport was established in 1943 by German forces during World War II and passenger traffic started going through there in the 1980s. In 2019, the airport carried around 500 thousand passengers and currently, a new construction project is underway, improving the real-world infrastructure of the airport even more.

Aarhus Airport is equipped with one terminal and two parallel runways. Mostly, it is operated by Ryanair and Norwegian, with both airlines operating around five routes throughout the whole year. From the airport, passengers and pilots can fly to destinations such as Oslo, London Stansted, Alicante, Palma, and even Hurghada or Riga.

SimNord created a detailed rendition of the airport, with the best possible experience in mind for all virtual pilots who are interested in flying at this airport. Unfortunately, we can only assume certain features, as the developer didn’t share any official feature list on their social media and product pages throughout the internet.

From the screenshots, we can see that the custom terminal is equipped with a 3D interior as well, surrounded by custom ground clutter such as airport-specific stairs, ground power units, vehicles and wider surroundings, enhancing the experience as much as possible. The general aviation apron is modelled as well, and there seems to be a custom VDGS by the terminal, too.

If you would like to get this scenery, you can purchase it via the SimNord website for €16.31. To read more, you can also check out our article on their iteration of Nordborg Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
