SoFly Announces New Products at FSExpo

During the FSExpo2025, SoFly took to the stage to announce two new products as well as to provide a small update on their already revealed product, the Cabin Announcements Pro. SoFly is a flight simulation company founded by Calum Martin, dedicated to supporting and inspiring both newcomers and enthusiasts through engaging products, expert guidance, and educational content.

Physical Goods for In-Person Atendees

In an era dominated by digital downloads and online shopping, SoFly is bringing back the excitement of physical releases to the world of flight simulation with a nostalgic twist at FlightSimExpo 2025. From Booth #506, visitors can browse and purchase a range of exclusive physical products, including the return of the popular Ultimate USB Bundle—now with even more content—as well as the brand-new Essentials USB Pack, tailored for newcomers to the hobby. Making its long-awaited debut is the physical edition of Aircraft Checklist Pro, presented in an A5 ring-bound book containing over 110 detailed checklists in one easy-to-use format.

For collectors and long-time fans, SoFly is also offering five limited-run Collector’s Edition software boxes, each featuring not only the core product but also exclusive gifts, future product discounts, and collectible artwork cards. The Collector’s Editions include: Hannover + Cardiff Airport (Duo Pack), Animals + Dinosaurs (Duo Pack), Better Camera Presets Pro, EcoSoundScapes, and Weather Preset Pro v2. With this lineup, SoFly brings the charm of boxed editions back to flight simulation, offering a tangible, collectible experience in a digital-first world.

Cabin Announcements Pro

The product was first announced back in 2024, and the product was to be released the same year. However, there was a delay and today SoFly came to us to unveil more features of this product. The company confirmed that the product will be a one-time purchase with no ongoing subscription fees and will be compatible with both versions of the simulator in a single purchase.

SoFly also announced that the product will feature a range of airline packs from around the world, including different accents and languages, with each pack offering variations for a dynamic experience. Additionally, a custom panel will be included within the simulator to give users more control and flexibility. SoFly CEO Calum Martin said that following the 2024 announcement, the team received many feature requests and had to revisit the design to meet those expectations. The new estimated release window is Q1 2026, with more updates to be shared in the future.

Bristol Airport

The first new product announced at the venue is a detailed recreation of Bristol Airport (BRS/EGGD). SoFly confirmed that the upcoming scenery will include the latest technology in 3D modeling, highly detailed rendering, accurate ground markings, custom animations, and immersive lighting and audio. The team conducted on-site research and photography to ensure that the entire airport was recreated with precision and realism.

Building on the approach used for their previous release, Hannover Airport, SoFly aims to deliver the same standard of visual quality, performance, and detail. Bristol Airport’s location on a hillside, scenic approach paths, and blend of commercial and general aviation traffic is being fully captured to appeal to a broad range of simulator users. The product is currently expected to be released in Q3 2025. More previews and information are due to follow. With SoFly’s return to its home turf, this announcement is likely to attract attention from both local and international flight simulation fans.

Aircraft Sound Enhancer Tool

SoFly wrapped up its FSExpo seminar at FlightSimExpo 2025 by unveiling its latest development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024: Aircraft Sound Enhancer. This new tool, created in collaboration with TerraBuilder, DarkOcean Designs, and Echo 19, is designed to push the boundaries of in-sim audio by delivering a deeply immersive and reactive sound environment across both PC and Xbox platforms.

At the heart of the product is a custom-built in-simulator interface developed by DarkOcean Designs, offering a sleek and user-friendly layout that allows users to easily manage, personalize, and toggle various sound settings mid-flight or while preparing aircraft profiles. Echo 19, known for its high-fidelity audio work in aircraft and cabin environments, has produced a detailed soundscape that includes ambient wind, turbulence, touchdown rumbles, and more—each carefully layered and tuned to mirror real-world aircraft acoustics.

The technical backend has been developed by TerraBuilder, using a WASM-based framework to support dynamic aircraft profile detection, integration across various aircraft types, and community-sharing features. This allows users to create, export, and import custom sound profiles, with the tool supporting any aircraft by default. Among its core features, Aircraft Sound Enhancer includes over 500 authentic sound effects that react dynamically to in-sim conditions without relying on scripted or looping audio. Built-in randomness ensures natural variation in sound events, enhancing realism during different flight phases and environmental scenarios.

The tool is fully customizable, with individual sound effects that can be toggled on or off and their volumes adjusted to user preference. Additionally, localized ATC enhancements offer regionally-appropriate voice filters for more realistic communications. Aircraft Sound Enhancer is expected to launch in Summer 2025, with further information and previews to be shared ahead of release.
