Top Mach Studios and Wombii Updated Whiteman AFB for MSFS

Top Mach Studios has recently informed the community that together with WombiiActual, they were working on a massive update for the freeware Whiteman AFB available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The update is now available, and the information, along with the previews were shared via their Facebook page.

About Whiteman AFB

Whiteman AFB is located near the city of Knob Noster in Missouri. The base is well-known as being the home to the famous stealth bomber B-2 Spirit.

This AFB was built in 1942, back then it was rather known as Sedalia Glider Base, and it was mostly used as a straining base for WACO glider pilots. In 1951, it became an air force base and a part of the US Air Force. In honour of the killed Lt. George A Whiteman, the Air Force Base was renamed to its current name in 1955.

About Top Mach Studios’ Whiteman AFB

Despite the scenery being very detailed, it is available completely for free for everyone to enjoy.

This rendition offers accurately modelled hangars with accurate decals and textures. With the scenery being based off a real air force base, all the models were modelled accurately, including the control tower. For added realism, there are custom animations of hangar doors, parking spots in the hangars and static aircraft across the whole scenery, this includes the famous B-2 Spirit.

Even minor details were not overlooked, and there is also a custom pushback tug, based on the real variant, as well as additional buildings in the surrounding area.
