X-Crafts have recently quietly released minor updates for their renditions of Embraer E175 and E195 for X-Plane 11. While the developers at X-Crafts are hard at works on bringing the new E-Jets Family product range alive, it’s nice to see that their legacy products were not forgotten.

Bringing both aircraft to version 2.5, the update features converted textures to DDS format which finalizes full Vulkan/Metal compatibility, adds the possibility of changing texture resolution by using the “Texture Quality” slider in X-Plane settings, and fixes minor bugs.

The update can be downloaded free of charge using the SkunkCrafts Updater or by downloading the new aircraft files from the store.

If you don’t own the aircraft and would like to purchase it, you can do so through the X-Plane.org Store for $37.95 in a discount.

If you want to learn more about the upcoming E-Jets Family which promises to bring a completely new experience, we recommend reading our previous articles on the topic here. The developers at X-Crafts mentioned multiple times, that they now have access to newer technologies and better documentation of the aircraft making it possible to make the addon much more accurate and immersive.

Changelog (v2.5)

  • Converted textures from PNG format to DDS format. This finalizes full Vulkan/Metal compatibility. Users with lower-end systems may see a performance increase.
  • Cockpit and Fuselage textures now also allow Resolution change. This will likely increase your framerates if your machine isn’t very powerful. This depends on the “Texture Quality” slider in your X-Plane settings.
  • Fixed a bug where the shadows of the exterior of the plane were not rendered properly in the 3D cockpit view.
  • Included Better Pushback in the package
  • File cleanup
