Cross-Community Panel Discussion Postponed As a Result of Current Situation in Ukraine

 

In response to the current situation in Ukraine, Flight Simulation Association has made the decision to postpone the Cross-Community Panel Discussion to an undefined later date. The discussion was planned to happen later today.

The moderators were supposed to be joined today by Robert Randazzo from PMDG, Laura Laban from Infinite Flight, Keith Smith from PilotEdge, and FlyingFabio.

The association has explained, that the situation has had a direct impact on the lives of several participants and their team, without detailing the specifics.

Cross-Community Panel Discussion Postponed

Later on, the CEO of PMDG, Robert Randazzo, who was to participate in the discussion, came out to their forums to explain the situation at their team. In that, he explained that several of the PMDG team members have been affected either directly or indirectly by the recent events.

The team at Flight Simulation Association is working on rescheduling the panel discussion for a future date.

OTher developers Affected by the current situation

The situation in eastern Europe has also affected other developers. Specifically, Pyreegue who is based in the most-affected country and several flight simulation YouTubers and Twitch streamers.

Orbx’s CEO has taken the step to waive all store fees from products that were developed by Ukrainian citizens. This affects products from Golden Key Studio, Northern Sky Studio, Pyreegue, and certain Orbx products.

As a result of that, 100% of the price the customer pays for their products will go directly to the developers.
