ELEVATEX, a free flight tracking program for all major flight sim platforms, has just received a major update containing many bug fixes, improvements, and some new features. Along with this update, the team introduced ELEVATEX Premium, an optional subscription that adds extra features to the program.
Navigraph Implementation
The update, which the developers state is one of their biggest yet, implements Navigraph’s navigation database to add some interesting new features to the map pages. Navigraph subscribers will now be able to see detailed maps of airports when zooming in, which include important information, such as taxiway names, terminal names, gate numbers, and runway numbers. ELEVATEX’s VATSIM integration also means that occupied gates will now be visible in this map display, which could be especially useful during big events.

The Navigraph implementation goes further, as the route display now also uses this database to draw departure and arrival procedures. Although ELEVATEX already drew the airway part of routes, drawing SIDs and STARs wasn’t possible until Navigraph’s database was implemented. For users without a Navigraph subscription, this feature falls back on one of Navigraph’s free, though outdated, AIRAC cycles.
ELEVATEX Premium
ELEVATEX Premium is a subscription that adds several new features that would be too costly for the developers to implement for free. These premium features include 1-second flight path rendering and storing, unlimited 4K screenshots, early access to new features, and premium badges for Discord and ELEVATEX itself. More features, including cloud autosaves, will be added in future updates. This subscription is available for $3.99 USD per month, or $39.99 USD per year.

Other Features and Fixes
This update contains many other fixes and changes. Some of the more notable ones include dark mode and satellite imagery for the map; distinct airport icons for international, regional, and other airports and heliports; a redesigned aircraft details page; a redesigned friends list; flight track pausing when using X-Plane’s replay mode; the addition of the aircraft designator to Discord Rich Presence; and much more.
There was, however, one aspect of the program that was removed, that being DCS support. While ELEVATEX could track DCS flights when flying in missions, the simulator did not provide the necessary information for tracking when flying in free roam mode. Due to this limitation, the ELEVATEX team doesn’t consider DCS tracking to be feasible.
This ELEVATEX update is available now for free. If you don’t have ELEVATEX, you can download the open beta for free on its website here. The original update announcement and full changelog are available in the ELEVATEX forums here.
