Through his Discord server, Felis has mentioned in a conversation with other community members, that his next project is “definitely” going to be an Antonov An-225 Mrija, presumably for the X-Plane platform.

The choice is very specific as the news around the world today reported that the one and only Antonov An-225 Mrija caught on fire and was severely damaged. Felis did not confirm whether or not did this influence his decision to recreate this legendary piece in the simulator.

Felis stated, that he will do his best to secure partnerships and get contacts with pilots and engineers who worked on the aircraft type to achieve the level of depth the community expects from him.

Being it a message in a chat room on his Discord server, however, we shall not take this as an official announcement of a project as the work has undoubtedly not begun yet.

For those unfamiliar with the aircraft, Antonov An-225 Mrija (Мрія) is a strategic cargo aircraft manufactured in the Soviet Union back in the 80s. Only one unit was manufactured which was destroyed on February 27th, 2022. The aircraft was designed to transport the Buran space shuttle, and holds several world records when it comes to its size and cargo it can transport.
