flyLAT Going Premium With Their Virtual Airline System

flyLAT launches Premium on 21 November 2026 for virtual airline owners, from £37.99 a year. Pilots still fly for free. Details on dates and benefits.

flyLAT, the virtual airline platform for flight simmers, has announced that it is going Premium. The subscription launches on 21 November 2026, the developer said in a message to its community on Discord. The founder says the platform has been funded personally since day one, and that rising costs and a growing community made a sustainable model necessary after five years of development.

flyLAT lets virtual airline owners run their operations and gives pilots a place to log their flights. It follows the developer’s recent announcement of Livery Studio for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which is also tied into the new subscription. The developer says the revenue will pay for infrastructure, new features, premium maps and possible partnerships with providers to be announced later.

According to the announcement, only airline owners pay, and pilots will always fly for free. Premium includes all current features, support for hosting a virtual airline, multiple airlines or divisions under one account, early access to closed betas, Freelancer Mode and unlimited custom audio announcements. Subscribers also get early access to Livery Studio, 25% off, plus one free livery, priority support with one-to-one Discord assistance, and airline migration from other systems. Migration depends on compatibility with the previous system. Freelancer Mode will also be sold separately to non-CEO users for a one-off £9.99, and owners who already bought it will get £9.99 off their first Premium subscription.

The developer also opened up its running costs, listing servers, domains, an audio licence and app store fees. It says it has invested over £6,000 of its own money, which Premium will help recover. Anyone who donated to FSimUK will have the full donation credited towards a subscription.

Existing airlines will receive 30 days of complimentary access. Airlines without an active subscription become inactive on 28 November 2026, and owners then have 60 days to reactivate before the airline is permanently removed. Those who subscribe within the first 30 days get three extra months free and a Founders Badge.

Premium costs £37.99 (around €44) for the first year, £34.99 in year two and £29.99 from year three onwards. Cancelling resets the loyalty discount to year-one pricing. Subscriptions are handled through flylat.net.
