After months of development work, Got Friends has completed its transition to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, updating every aircraft in its catalogue to ensure full forward compatibility. The team announced the milestone on its official MSFS Development Hangar thread, describing it as the culmination of a year-long process focused on improving stability and resolving long-standing issues across the lineup.

Fixes and Celebration Sale

To add full compatibility for the MSFS2024 platform, the Got Friends made numerous fixes and improvements as part of their development changelog for a seamless transition to the new sim. The Gee Bee R3 received updated animations, Master Switch functionality fixes, missing FLT files added, and WTT compatibility with PMS50’s GTN750. The Discud-2C brings minor fixes to the LX navigation coding, improvements to rain and contamination drag, and side propeller blur texture fixes. Such minor fixes have been added to most of the catalog of aircraft, and all changes can be viewed on the FS Forums.

To celebrate, Got Friends has launched a storewide sale running until 30 October on its official website. Highlights include up to $10 off the Wilga and DoubleEnder, and special $0.99 pricing for Astro ONE and the Gee Bee R3 Special. The promotion spans the full range, marking one of the developer’s largest sales to date, with all details available here.

About Got Friends

Got Friends, a four-member team, began as a freeware collective before evolving into one of the most distinctive names in the MSFS ecosystem. The studio is known for its eclectic catalogue — from ultralights such as the Astro ONE and MonsterNX Cub, to gliders like the Discus-2c and AS 33 Me, and historical aircraft including the F4F-4 Wildcat and Fokker Dr.1 — and for maintaining a strong connection with the community through frequent updates and transparent development posts.

Availability

While nearly the entire catalogue is now 2024-ready, a couple of exceptions remain. The 40th Anniversary Pack and Avatar Collections are still pending updates due to unresolved compatibility issues, with fixes planned for future releases.

The updated versions are available now from the Got Friends website. Distribution across partner stores will follow shortly — Contrail within a few days, Flightsim.to and SimMarket once approved, and the in-game Marketplace in one to three weeks. FSNews will keep you updated on any further announcements from Got Friends regarding its MSFS2024 developments.
