iniBuilds Releases Doha Hamad International for X-Plane 12, Updates MSFS Version

iniBuilds has released Doha Hamad International (OTHH) for X-Plane 12 for around €20, and the MSFS 2024 version has been updated to v1.1.0.

iniBuilds has released Doha Hamad International Airport (OTHH) for X-Plane 12, announced on the developer’s forum. The developer describes the release as a return to X-Plane. The scenery is a remake of its existing Microsoft Flight Simulator version of the airport.

Hamad International serves Doha, the capital of Qatar, and is the home hub of Qatar Airways. It opened in 2014 and replaced the city’s older airport. Its position between Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas makes it a major transfer point. iniBuilds says the scenery suits long-haul flights on the airline’s network, regional hops across the Gulf and cargo operations. It is not the only Doha available for the simulator, as IGTEI, a new developer in the community, recently released their own version of the airport for X-Plane 12.

According to iniBuilds, the scenery recreates the airport’s terminal buildings, jetways and wide aprons. The ground layer uses hand-made polygons with custom textures for runways, taxiways, aprons, paths and roads, along with custom ortho imagery covering the airport and its surroundings. The developer also lists bespoke taxiway signage matching the real airport, accurately positioned airfield lighting, and the airport’s airline logos and branding.

The team says the terminals have custom modelling and high-resolution textures, with detailed interiors, objects and lighting. Jetways are custom-built with PBR textures and realistic variations. Aircraft stands carry hand-placed ground service equipment such as containers, dollies and handling vehicles. The layout reflects the airfield configuration of 2025, and iniBuilds says the assets use level-of-detail implementation to help performance.

The MSFS 2024 version of the scenery has also been updated. According to a separate forum post, iniBuilds Doha Hamad (OTHH) Premium for MSFS 2024 is now at version 1.1.0. The new version comes with added multi-jetway support to all gates, an updated GSX profile, added new taxiway reporting point ground markings, and fixed remote stand gate sign brightness.

iniBuilds Doha Hamad International (OTHH) for X-Plane 12 is available now for around €20 (£16.99 excluding VAT) on the iniBuilds Store.
