iniBuilds has released version 1.0.2 of its F406 Caravan II for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, delivering a wide range of improvements across autopilot behaviour, electrical systems, start-up logic and sound refinements.

Systems

The latest update addresses a range of avionics and autopilot issues. Changes include corrections to VOR annunciator light operation, roll command mode behaviour, heading and glide slope mode interaction, and the autopilot’s response when altitude hold is disengaged. The update also tackled lighting and gauge behaviour when the aircraft is unpowered. Additional adjustments have been made to the engine start sequence, inertial separator functionality, and torque indicators. Navigation system updates include the addition of DME Holding, improved GPS guidance tracking in NAV mode, and changes to approach mode logic requiring the aircraft to be established on the localiser before capturing the glide slope.

Art and Sounds

Visual changes include updated internal placards, and refinements to autopilot panel artwork. Minor model issues have also been resolved.

iniBuilds’ partner Echo19 has implemented various sound improvements, including refined igniter and starter sounds and restored switch, door, and cockpit interaction sounds. An issue where sounds played despite the simulator’s master volume being set to zero has been fixed.
