iniBuilds has released its Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (KMSY) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The developer announced the release on social media with the message “Out Now!” and a trailer. The scenery follows the earlier announcement of the project, which we covered on FSNews.
KMSY is the main airport serving New Orleans and Louisiana. It sits on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain just a few feet above sea level. It connects the Gulf South with major US hubs and with destinations in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. The airport is named after the New Orleans-born jazz musician Louis Armstrong and lies outside the city proper, in the suburb of Kenner. It has a modern terminal that opened in recent years.

iniBuilds describes the scenery as handcrafted and sold as a Premium product. The team says it is based on a dedicated reference visit by the team members and hundreds of photographs taken at the real airport. The developer highlights the terminal’s detailed interiors and exteriors, bespoke ground textures, custom airport equipment and recreated surrounding infrastructure.
The ground textures are hand-made, with separate sets for runways, aprons, paths and roads. On the landside, iniBuilds has added custom ground decals, signposts, vegetation and parking barriers. The scenery also has dynamic airport lighting that the developer says is accurately positioned. The HD ground polygon follows the real-world airport layout as of 2026, and the taxi signage is made to real-world specifications.

On the practical side, the package includes an official GSX profile, both in the scenery folder and as a download in the iniManager. It is compatible with iniManager for configuration. iniBuilds says every model has level-of-detail optimisation and that the scenery uses the latest MSFS 2024 SDK features to keep performance smooth.
The iniBuilds New Orleans KMSY scenery is available for MSFS 2024 for around €20 on the iniBuilds store.
