Just Flight Shares New Information About the F100

Just Flight has released the first development update of this year for their upcoming F70/100 Professional. The last development update, released in December 2024, was focused on their initial progress with the aircraft’s systems and new liveries created by the team. The developer also stated that this will be their next airliner release, with an estimated release in the first half of this year. This new development update drops new information about the progress made in the last few months.

Systems Update

The development update of March focuses on the progress made to the F100 systems. Just Flight has confirmed that they will resume work in the F70 shortly once they feel comfortable with the F100 systems. They will import some systems from the F100 to the F70 with some tweaks to adjust to the shorter aircraft.

The first systems introduced by Just Flight are more basic ones. They have been implementing them since the last development update in December 2024. The developer worked on systems like the airbrake, lighting, and a new backlight for the LCD displays. However, this is only a small part of their current work as they recently started to touch on the more complex aircraft systems.

Just Flight is particularly excited about their work on the electronic flight information system (EFIS) and Flight Warning System (FWS). The incorporation of the FWS is a major milestone according to the developer. The FWS is responsible for monitoring other systems and giving alerts, status, or memos of other systems on the central screens.

Just Flight is Starting to Tests the Systems

As the systems progress, the team needs to test these implementations. Just Flight alongside their team of F100 pilots and engineers started performing some tests on these systems. The aircraft’s autopilot has started to be tested as this process will consume a lot of time to test all the different scenarios and how the aircraft will react. Other systems are also starting to be tested by the team as they now have entered a bug-fixing and testing phase. According to Just Flight: “These tests will continue for a while”.

As Just Flight wraps up this update, they shared some screenshots of the current state of the aircraft. They even teased about videos of the aircraft being shared soon. The next development update will be focused on the sounds created by Sim Acoustics for this add-on.
