MK Studios Releases Malaga Airport for MSFS

MK Studios has recently taken to their Facebook page to showcase their new scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, the Polish development team had taken a look to Spain, releasing Malaga Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

MK Studios has already released some sceneries in the Iberian peninsula. On their account, they already have renditions of Seville Airport, Girona Airport, as well as Porto, San Sebastian or Lisbon.

Malaga Airport (LEMG), officially known as Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport is the fourth busiest airport in Spain. Malaga is a popular tourist destination and there are connections to over 60 countries worldwide. In 2015, 14 million passengers went through this airport.

It opened in 1919 and first scheduled air service began the same year with regular flights between Toulouse, Barcelona, Alicante, Tangier and Casablanca.

In the 1960s, the airport went through a runway extension and a new terminal was built. Currently, the airport has three terminals and two runways. Current flights include international hubs to Montreal, Riga, Vienna, Sofia, Brussels, Cairo and much more.

MK Studios created a detailed rendition of this airport with realistic ground polygons, 3D terminal interior, accurate elevation data based on high-quality LiDAR scans and realistic lighting. Of course, most of the models found at this airport are hand-crafted, this includes jetways, tunnels, buildings, terminals, and other airport facilities.
