MK-Studios Releases Vagar Airport V2

MK-Studios have in recent days released a new scenery for Prepar3D v5, this time covering the airport in Vagar on the Faroe Islands. It is not very typical for the developers nowadays to release sceneries for the Prepar3D v5 platform when Microsoft Flight Simulator is out for over a year now and many users have switched over to the newer platform.

Anyway, the scenery was developed to the latest standards of the platform offering custom 3D snow during the winter season, PBR materials on textures throughout the airport area, custom object-baked shadows for the best immersion at any time, or custom mesh and landclass for the whole Faroe Islands.

Further, no more than a week after the initial release, the developers have already taken to their Facebook Page to announce, that a new version of the scenery was released improving it based on the feedback from the community.

With this new update to version 2.01, the satellite imagery for the winter season was overhauled, mesh resolution was increased, and runway lights were fixed as well as the missing PAPI lights were added.

If you want to purchase the scenery, you can do so through the Orbx website or Orbx Central application for about €12.30 with taxes excluded. It is also important to mention, that this is not a new product from MK-Studios, it is only a new major version of the scenery released for the newer platform.

The scenery is also in the works for Microsoft Flight Simulator, unfortunately, however, no details were provided. Only a single preview was shared that can be seen below.
