The developer MM Simulations has taken to their Facebook page to announce a new airport that the team is working on. MM Simulations has already shown the scenery within the simulator environment in the previews shared alongside.

About Narvik Airport (ENEV)

Narvik Airport, also known as Harstad-Narvik Airport, is an international airport managed by Avinor. The airport handles approximately 600 thousand passengers a year, and is primarily operated by Norwegian, Scandinavian Airlines and Wideroe to national destinations like Oslo, Trondheim and Tromso.

The first operations started back in 1935, and the airport was operated as a seaplane hub, which was primarily used as a mid-way stop on flights between Bergen and Tromso. During World War II, the operations at the airport terminated, as Narvik was an important target during the war. The operations resumed after the war, and the official airport opened in the 1950s.

Shared Previews

MM Simulations is currently working on the flight club (Harstad Flyklubb) hangar found at the airport, and is also the main topic of the previews. The developer mentions that the Harstad Flyklubb hangar was carefully created to match the real counterpart. In the previews, we can see the 3D modelling found on the hangar, with small details like fuel tanks or the hangar scaffolding. The hangar is already textured, and we can notice traces of PBR textures, which are highly detailed and feel in place.

It has been mentioned in the Facebook post that more previews are coming soon. However, any estimated release date or full feature list hasn’t been revealed yet, as the scenery is still in production.
