Orbx Release Niš Constantine the Great Airport for MSFS

Orbx have announced, on Facebook, the release of a new airport addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Niš Constantine the Great Airport (LYNI), in Serbia.

A combination of cityscape and airport, Niš Constantine the Great Airport has been developed by Rasha Tucakov, this being his first for the new simulator. Using custom vehicles, ground support equipment, buses and trains, the developer has used the features of MSFS to bring this airport to life. Also included are static aircraft from the Soviet-era, as this is a mixed military / civilian airfield. The cityscape features plenty of points of interest to keep the VFR pilot interested, such as the Niš Fortress and the Hotel Ambassador.

The developer has also used a new texture mapping system which produces higher detail and greater optimization, in addition to custom weather textures and full PBR. Dynamic and emissive lighting, and custom-edited NAVAID data (replacing the default) are also included.

Niš Constantine the Great Airport is the second busiest airport in Serbia and serves the likes of Ryanair and Wizz Air. Surrounded by mountainous terrain, the approach can often be a challenge. Following World War II, it was established as a military base but has grown to serve both types of aviation.

This addon is available from the Orbx website or Orbx Central, priced EUR 14,21.
