XWind Studios has partnered up with Jakub Lukaszewski to bring us one of the smaller, yet busy destinations in Norway, Kristiansund Airport (ENKB), located on the island of Nordlandet.
The airport is operated by Avinor, which has airports across the whole of Norway. It is mostly used by the two major Norwegian regional operators, Scandinavian and Wideroe. However, Kristiansund Airport also serves offshore helicopter traffic.

The first service began in 1935 and it was a part of the Bergen to Trondheim route operated by Norwegian Air Lines. Currently, Kristiansund Airport is mostly used for regional flights within Norway to Oslo and Bergen. However, during summer, seasonal charters are operated with Braathens Regional Airlines to Antalya and Chania.
XWind Studios Kristiansund Features
The picturesque scenery by XWind Studios offers a wide range of modern features, bringing this airport as close to reality in the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator. There are custom ground textures for the entire airport area with custom elevation for the whole Nordlandet island. The custom ground textures are also placed on a custom, up-to-date airport layout that also includes a custom GSX profile.

Speaking of the surrounding area, the scenery offers detailed recreation of the landside of the airport, with custom models and minor details. During the night, the scenery is brought to light using custom dynamic lights. This includes lights for the runway, taxiways apron and more.
The life of this airport is brought by custom models of static aircraft, surrounding buildings and various airport clutter, that reflect the airport’s day-to-day operations.

This Kristiansund Airport scenery also promises to be optimised for all possible performance outcomes, as the developer aimed to optimise the textures and level of detail radius of the airport.
If you would like to get this scenery, you can purchase it via the iniBuilds store for approximately € 12.86. Be aware that upon purchase you will be charged in British Pounds, so the price may vary.
