Parallel 42 Launches New Storefront With Release of Stripr

Parallel 42 launched their new online storefront this week alongside the release of their loading screen enhancement, Stripr, for MSFS.

Loading screen enhancements are a new product for MSFS flight simmers, with Stripr being the first of its kind. While a loading screen enhancement might not sound like much, don’t overlook Stripr yet. The developers have included some welcome features that flight simmers might genuinely appreciate.

Loading Screen Enhancements:

The primary feature of Stripr is to improve the – sometimes tedious – loading screen experience in MSFS. The add-on brings multiple features that make your wait time more enjoyable. While loading into the sim, Stripr will showcase high-fidelity satellite imagery of the region selected for flight. Your flight plans will also be shown dynamically as you load into the departure airport using SimBrief integration. The whole experience aims to make wait times fly by.

Parallel 42 states that Stripr will reduce your “loading screen anxiety” and eliminate the concern that MSFS has frozen during loading. To aid this, the developers integrated an accurate loading percentage readout shown to the thousandth’s place. No more watching the loading bar sit at 90% and wondering if anything is happening.

The imagery shows dynamic, detailed loading screens with an ever-changing, situation-based environment. The loading screens are highly customizable; every flight simmer should be able to tailor their experience exactly as they choose.

Bonus Features:

Parallel 42 included some quality-of-life features in this release that may interest potential buyers. The long and annoying branding intros are entirely removed. Additionally, Stripr enables the ability to skip a sim update! This huge feature allows users to temporarily skip those massive updates when they want to sit down and enjoy a quick flight. Parallel 42 has also suppressed the network disconnect and low bandwidth popups to tone down distractions during flight.

Parallel 42 is making its name known in the MSFS utility world. This add-on follows the release of their Flow utility which completely reworks the MSFS toolbar and adds many useful features. Stripr is available at Parallel 42’s newly opened storefront for $14.00.
