RDPresets Releases Salzburg Airport for MSFS

As we reported yesterday, the RDPresets team aimed to release their latest scenery of Salzburg Airport today, and they kept on the promise. Salzburg Airport scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available.

Salzburg Airport (LOWS) is the second-busiest international airport in Austria. Named after the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the airport serves as the gateway to Austria’s many ski resorts in the region. The airport is mostly used during the winter season, as there are mostly scheduled seasonal flights across the European continent.

The airport opened in 1910 when the first aircraft taxied on a racetrack called Salzburg Aigen. The first commercial flights were operated with Lufthansa during the 1920s.

The airport is now mostly operated by Eurowings and other low-cost European carriers, as well as Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines or airBaltic. Virtual pilots can enjoy flights to various destinations such as Frankfurt, Dublin, Keflavík, Amsterdam or Istanbul from Salzburg Airport.

RDPresets Salzburg Features

The RDPresets team promises a realistic replica of the airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator and the nearby Red Bull Hangar. There is a custom modelling with hand-crafted textures, including PBR materials throughout the whole airport.

The realism is also enhanced by a 3D interior replica with 3D passengers throughout terminals. There are also over a thousand clutter objects surrounding the landside and airside of the airport.
