Stairport Sceneries Releases GroundService for X-Plane

Stairport Sceneries have released one of their most-anticipated addons yet. While many people know Stairport Sceneries for their sceneries for X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator, they in fact have a long history with utilities as well.

Following the release of their shader tool, ShadeX, the team at Stairport Sceneries has released their new revolutionary ground handling addon – SAM GroundService for X-Plane 11.

In the product description, the developers have already also confirmed that it is compatible with the upcoming X-Plane 12. No details were disclosed on the expected pricing model, unfortunately.

Nonetheless, the current version for X-Plane 11 offers a vast array of innovative features we have not seen before. That includes automatic routing logic for vehicle driving with special crash detection and precise docking or interactive services that control the aircraft load in real-time.

Further, the addon comes with various animations where accurate. Unfortunately, the X-Plane’s SDK was limiting the developers to offer animated passengers. Thus they have decided to feature static passengers.

We have talked about this as well as other features in our exclusive interview with Marten from Stairport Sceneries.

By default, GroundService offers a wide range of supported aircraft. To name a few popular ones: complete product range of ToLiss, X-Crafts, SSG, and FlightFactor except the A320 Ultimate. Besides those, the addon also works well with FlyJSim’s Q4XP, JustFlight’s BAE146 and the Magknight 787.

When it comes to LevelUP, the developers did not mention that one in the list of supported aircraft addons. We can’t confirm whether it is compatible or not yet. Nonetheless, the developers are still working on supporting more aircraft addons.

You can buy SAM GroundService for X-Plane 11 through the Aerosoft store for €29.40 with VAT excluded.
