TerraBuilder is a developer known for making space-related add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Last year, the development team released a detailed rendition of the Kennedy Space Center for this simulator. It came with animations of rocket launches and an accurate depiction of this complex. However, TerraBuilder is not only going to release scenery for MSFS. The developer began releasing videos of their next massive add-on, SpacePort.

What is SpacePort?

Originally developed as an add-on for Prepar3D (P3D), SpacePort is an add-on that brings space flights to a flight simulator. Including scenery, objects, physics, custom animations, and much more… All this is possible using their custom physics model for space flight.

The project was officially announced on their Discord Server in January 2025, converting the old assets from the P3D add-on and improving them for MSFS use. During 2025, the team was hard at work on this add-on in parallel with other projects, releasing the first video teaser in May 2025 on their YouTube channel. In September 2025, they released more images and video previews of this add-on.

All the videos released by TerraBuilder are from the development, showcasing features like object interaction and animations. The most recent videos, released in December 2025 and January 2026, showcase object interaction in microgravity, structures in space, and even the launch of a shuttle into space in MSFS.

This add-on is planned for MSFS 2020 and 2024. However, due to the hard object altitude limitation in MSFS 2020, this add-on will be released as a “demo version” for MSFS 2020. This limit has been removed for MSFS2024, making this add-on possible.

SpacePort has not yet been given a release window, with more of its features in development. On a separate Discord thread on their server, they confirmed that their Kennedy Space Center Scenery will be compatible as a launch site. It is also noted that the space shuttle shown in all images and video previews is not part of SpacePort, being another add-on used for demonstration purposes of this add-on. Stay tuned for further news about this add-on here.
