Laminar Research has released a trailer video on YouTube to showcase their upcoming A330 aircraft for X-Plane 12.
The brand new trailer, filmed and edited by AviationLads, portrays the upcoming aircraft from many angles. Additionally, the trailer covers brand new features of the aircraft that were not yet released to the public.
Firstly, the video begins by closely exhibiting the Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines. The clear use of PBR texturing is evident. This gives the engine a look of tear and wear, which increases the realism of the model.
Moreover, the video demonstrates the flight deck in detail. Shots portray the overhead panel and the pedestal.
Also, the reworked rain particles are present on the A330s windshield. Furthermore, another clip depicts the external rain effect on the ground.
Another portrayed feature is the A330’s popular 2-4-2 cabin.
Finally, another feature displayed throughout the video is the ECAM system pages. The portrayed system monitoring pages are useful in different scenarios. In this case, the video depicts the ECAM during a generic engine start and during hydraulic and engine failures. This is extremely impressive, considering the aircraft will come free of charge with X-Plane 12.
