Echo 19 has recently released its latest product, the Cessna 172 Precision Audio Pack. The product comes as a sound upgrade of the default Cessna 172 included in both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. This is Echo 19’s latest release, following the release of the Mustang P-51 Audio Pack.

Key Features and Customization

The Echo 19 Cessna 172 Precision Audio Pack was recorded in high-fidelity audio of a genuine C172 in 96 kHz ambisonic 3D audio. These sounds were then overlaid using the bespoke ECHOFX system of Echo 19. All switches, knobs, and levers were sampled and fitted into their actual 3D cockpit locations.

Thanks to the new ECHOFX sound system, the sounds can adjust dynamically to aspects such as airspeed, pilot inputs, and the environment. Some of the features include a realistic cabin and exterior environment, 3D cockpit sounds, enhanced engine behaviour, and effects. Other details include prop flutter, airframe creaks, and fuel slosh.

Some functions, such as vintage-gyro sounds or alternator whine, can even be customized by the users, allowing them to vary to provide a more personalized flying experience. Echo 19 also included four custom liveries for MSFS 2024 and one MSFS 2020 livery.

Echo 19’s Cessna 172 Precision Audio Pack is now available from their website for US$11.99. With the purchase of this product, you don’t just get the audio pack, but four bonus liveries included for MSFS 2024. For previous Echo 19 product releases, you can read here on FSNews.
