V Pilot Designs has shared a new development update on its upcoming KHPN – Westchester County Airport scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, showcasing progress and providing insight into the current state of the project.
According to the developer, the airport is being built with a strong focus on detail and accuracy, aiming to match the high standards the team is known for. Every asset, surface, and structure is being carefully refined to deliver a highly realistic and immersive experience for simmers.
The development process has faced several delays and challenges, but over the past few months the team has been fully focused on the project. Work continues steadily, with the goal of reaching a finished build before entering the beta testing phase.

Although there are still a few weeks of development ahead, the additional time is being used to further enhance the overall quality and level of detail of the airport. The developer emphasized that this extra effort will help ensure the final product meets community expectations. For users who already own the KHPN version for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, V Pilot Designs confirmed that the upgrade to the MSFS 2024 version will require a small fee of approximately $5.
Several preview images have also been shared, showing the current state of development. These screenshots highlight the airport’s detailed modeling and environment, although it is important to note that all images represent a work-in-progress version and do not reflect the final product. In the coming weeks, development will continue with further refinements before the project moves into beta testing. This stage will focus on validating performance, accuracy, and visual quality ahead of release.
The developer also thanked the community for its continued support and confirmed that more previews and updates will be shared soon as development progresses.
