MK Studios has officially released Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (LPPR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing a highly detailed recreation of one of Portugal’s most important international airports.

Located just 11 kilometres northwest of Porto’s city centre, LPPR serves as a major gateway to northern Portugal. Known for its modern design, efficient layout, and scenic approaches along the Atlantic coastline, the airport has been carefully recreated with a strong focus on realism and immersion.
The scenery features a fully up-to-date airport layout based on the latest real-world data, ensuring accuracy across taxiways, stands, and operational areas. MK Studios has also included highly detailed terminal interiors and exteriors, offering a visually rich experience both on the ground and during taxi operations.

Ground textures have been developed using high-resolution PBR materials, enhancing realism across the entire airport surface. In addition, custom animated jetways and accurately placed ground markings, signage, and parking stands further contribute to the overall authenticity of the scenery.
Night operations have also been significantly improved, with realistic lighting, stop bars, and approach lighting systems that closely match real-world conditions. Despite the high level of detail, the scenery has been optimised to ensure smooth performance without compromising visual quality.

The add-on integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Flight Simulator terrain and photogrammetry, allowing the airport to blend naturally with its surroundings. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (LPPR) for MSFS 2024 is now available via Contrail, simMarket, ORBX, and iniBuilds. For more flight simulation news, releases, and updates, make sure to follow FSNews.
