Picturesque Vernon Airport Released by T0ken Design for MSFS

Third-party add-on developers T0ken Design took to the Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums to announce the release of their rendition of Vernon Airport (CYVK) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The landscaped airport is located in the picturesque Okanagan Valley surrounded by lakes, mountains, and recreational amenities.

Key features of the MSFS rendition

T0ken Design’s Vernon Airport features more than 30 hand-modeled 3D buildings throughout the airport. It features the main terminal building fully modeled with appropriate signage, rose compass textures, a custom runway with accurate aprons and night lighting, redrawn taxiways, hand-modeled and textured fuel storage tanks, and multiple static aircraft parked in their appropriate spots.

Further features also include the fully modeled Okanagan College Aerospace Campus hangar, corrected and masked ground textures, and terrain features, along with parked cars, airport vehicles, painted car parking spaces, picnic tables, fences, and vegetation have also been modeled for the utmost realism and immersion. Moreover, the rendition also features helipads at accurate locations, 3D objects modeled and scattered throughout the airport, custom taxiway signs, Vernon pickleball and sports buildings, and 4K high-quality PBR texturing on all models.

A little about Vernon Airport

Vernon Regional Airport is a small, non-towered airport located two miles southwest of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. It is one of the few airports in the Okanagan Valley that offers skydiving services since all commercial operators must have written consent to a skydiving company for skydiving to occur. Such an activity is not possible at a larger airport like Kelowna International Airport. The airport has become a center for manufacturing and maintenance in the Pacific Northwest and is fully serviced with airside lots.

Closing notes

T0ken Design’s Vernon Airport is available for purchase on Flightsim.to or on the simMarket store and retails for USD 9.99 including taxes. The airport requires the Canada World Update for maximum graphical fidelity and is a worthy addition for some mountain ops in Western Canada.
