Aerosoft Shares New A340-600 Screenshots

Aerosoft has published a new set of work-in-progress screenshots on X (formerly Twitter) for its upcoming A340-600 Pro for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Aerosoft has published a new set of work-in-progress screenshots on X (formerly Twitter) for its upcoming A340-600 Pro for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The images highlight cockpit progress, engine modelling, and a detailed in-development view of the flap and slat undercarriage. According to the developer, this area was the last major external 3D component still missing.

Flap and Slat Undercarriage 3D Modelling

The newly shared under-wing image focuses on the internal structure of the flap and slat system, showing the mechanical detail beneath the wing surface. Aerosoft describes this milestone as a key step toward completing the aircraft’s exterior model. With these elements now in place, development appears to be moving into its later visual refinement phase.

Community Giveaway

Alongside the screenshots, Aerosoft announced a small community initiative tied to its ongoing preview posts. Starting next week, subtle hints will be hidden in selected images, with one hint per post. Five free copies of the A340-600 Pro will be given away after release to users who successfully identify all the clues, with answers collected in a separate post.

Project Status

The A340-600 Pro is the result of a partnership between Aerosoft and ToLiss, the latter being widely recognised in the X-Plane ecosystem for its high‑fidelity Airbus simulations, particularly in the area of FMGS logic, flight laws, and overall system accuracy. Recent updates suggest development is moving from core modelling toward refinement and completion, with no release date announced at this stage.
