Altimeter Motives Reveals New Yoke at FSExpo 2026

Altimeter Motives reveals a new yoke prototype at FSExpo 2026, designed to work comfortably with its panels for MSFS and X-Plane.

Altimeter Motives has taken to the stage at FSExpo Friday to reveal a new yoke prototype that the company has been working on. It’s designed to be comfortably used with some of the panels and instruments displays that Altimeter Motives is known for.

A New Yoke

Altimeter Motives has developed a new yoke, which is intended to solve the problems that come with using instrument panels along with currently available yoke solutions. When mounting a panel above the yoke, it blocks the view of the simulator screen in the back. Mounting a panel behind the yoke solves the view issue for the simulator screen but makes it so the instrument panel is far away and obstructed by the yoke.

The solution that Altimeter Motives came up with is to create a yoke that doesn’t use a shaft for elevator movement. Instead, it sits high above a base and uses a rail for the elevator movement. This allows the yoke to sit at a natural position while at the same time not taking up space on a desk where an instrument panel could be placed.

This new yoke is still in the early stages of development, and Altimeter Motives is looking for industry partners to begin production before they can reveal a price point or availability date. If you’re attending FSExpo 2026 in person, you can try out the prototype at Altimeter Motives’ booth.

That is all for Altimeter Motives’ Presentation at FSExpo Friday. Stay tuned to FSNews for our ongoing coverage of FSExpo 2026.
