BlueBird Simulations has just shared a statement on its Discord confirming that its Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator has now entered stage 1 of beta testing. The announcement was accompanied by a new set of screenshots taken in MSFS 2024 and an updated outline of the three‑phase beta roadmap, including a light‑hearted mention of a small visual bug linked to one of the stage 1 systems, which the developer teased without further details.

A Long Beta Roadmap
According to the developer, the beta programme will unfold in three distinct phases, each focused on specific system groups. The overall process is expected to extend into 2026, underlining BlueBird Simulations’ careful approach to testing and refinement.
The first phase targets essential systems such as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic networks, along with the APU, flight controls, LNAV and basic autopilot, air‑conditioning, and door mechanisms. These form the aircraft’s technical foundation for later stages. Although the team concedes this stage could still be classed as a late‑alpha phase, it represents a key milestone as external testers begin evaluating selected systems and providing feedback.
The second phase will expand testing to higher‑level functions, including full FMS and auto‑flight logic, engine and landing‑gear operations, communications, and navigation systems. It will also cover environmental effects such as icing and rain.

The third and final phase will focus on full integration: completing the EFB, refining the model and textures, and finalising sounds and visual effects. Each step broadens the testing scope while improving system stability and overall fidelity.
BlueBird Simulations notes that this roadmap will take several months to complete, favouring steady progress and meaningful feedback over speed.
Opening Up to the Community
BlueBird Simulations has announced plans to open its Discord server for public discussion once new moderators are in place, marking a return to open communication after a long period of relative silence. The team is also preparing a more detailed video update expected later this year or early next, shortly after the holidays, to present the aircraft’s current status and next development milestones.

About the Developer
BlueBird Simulations is the team behind the upcoming Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, with confirmed compatibility for MSFS 2024 at release, although the aircraft will not be a native 2024 build initially. The 757 will include multiple engine variants and configurations, with an expected price of USD $80 according to earlier updates. The team has already shared extensive previews highlighting in‑depth systems modelling, including LNAV/VNAV logic and over 150 simulated circuit breakers. This 757 is BlueBird Simulation’s first aircraft, and expectations within the flight‑simulation community are particularly high for its eventual release.

With testing now underway, the coming months will reveal how far the project has progressed. FSNews will keep readers informed as BlueBird Simulations advances through the next stages of testing and moves closer to release.
