Fenix Updates A320 and Expansions

On August 29th, Fenix Simulations released the first update for its Airbus fleet after the release of the much-anticipated A319 and A321 expansion earlier this month. The patch primarily focused on stability and fixes for the EFB and some of the systems.

Some of the fixes for the systems include adjusting the A321’s PID controller to fix oscillations, adjusting the step climb logic, fixing the bulk cargo door showing on the MCDU DOORS page on the A319, fixing inaccuracies with weight distribution and loading for both passengers and cargo, fine-tuning for the FBW values, and much more.

The EFB fixes include numerous adjustments to the loading behavior when using SimBrief and GSX, fixed CG calculations, fixed seat maps for the A319 and A321, fixes for SimBrief OFPs of numerous airlines not showing, and an adjusted preliminary load sheet behavior for SimBrief flight plans and when making changes to planned weights.

Other fixes focus mostly on visual improvements, such as fixed light effects, fixed rivet materials and engine node counts for the CFM engines, and a fix for the “RETARD” callout repeating endlessly. This patch also includes some flight model fixes for the A321, focusing on the trim efficiency, pitch moments, and elevator of the variant.
