Lockheed Martin Releases Prepar3D v5 Hotfix 2

Lockheed Martin has released a long awaited hotfix for Prepar3D v5, Prepar3D v5 HF2. This update is especially improving and fixes the simulator. Only the client installer is required for updating an older install.

As the developer notes in the article made on Prepar3D website, hotfix 2 contains additional fixes for high priority ussues indetified after launch. In this update, the developer improved the dynamic texture streaming feature’s performance, fixed the issue with Scaleform elements to flash including the menu bar and ATC window, the issue causing invalid wind aloft direction values, improved load times, effects rendering performance, and added light.fx file. The developer also fixed the issues with PBR and AMD graphics cards.

  • Updates to various airports including LFMV, KOFF, KGGG, EFHK, SBSP, EDDH, EDVK, KAKR, KPIT, RJBB, EDDS, EGPF, KBUR, PALR, VOTR, KVPD, LIMC, PASI, and EGGW.
  • Added OpenGLTexture sample back to SDK.
  • Added 3dsMax 2020 and 2021 support.
