Mango Studios has released its General Electric engine CF-6 modification for the Boeing 767 by FlightFactor. This payware modification replaces the outdated and, since X-Plane 12, partly broken one by Cardajowol, also known as Carda. In Cardaโs version the N1 “fast textureโ, the front cowling and the rotating blade are not working in X-Plane 12 as they should.
About The Engine Mod
The General Electric CF6 engine mod from Mango Studios provides a highly detailed new engine model for the entire FlightFactor 767 series. It is compatible with both X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12 versions and includes all the vents, screws, fins, and flaps that are present in the real engine.
The mod includes over 25 engine liveries, featuring companies such as Condor, TUI, United Airlines, Delta, and many more. If you wish to create additional liveries that are not included, you can request access to the paint kit on the Mango Studios Discord Server or with replying to the order confirmation mail. The mod comes with a manual for easy installation, though you will need to make a few simple adjustments in Plane Maker. Additionally, this modification is compatible with Mango Studio’s previous Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engine mod. This means that you can have both installed at the same time. Please note that this mod only changes the visuals; it does not affect the sounds or the performance of the aircraft. GE, PW and RR performance is already included in the default aircraft by FlightFactor.
The screenshots provided by Mango Studios showcase the high level of detail on the engines. The metallic components exhibit various scratches, and overall, the engine is highly-detailed and accurately modelled. In comparison to the default engine, we can see less washed textures and more detailed lines and engine objects, as you can see below.
